Fishery Notice

Lingcod closes for commercial fishing by hook and line/trap gear effective 
November 15, 2017 (to revoke Variation Order 2017-110). From November 15, 2017 
until March 31, 2018 a spawning closure for the retention of lingcod by hook 
and line gear will be in effect for all areas. 

All commercial hook and line/trap vessels that have retained any Lingcod must 
have their fish validated by a DFO-certified dockside observer no later than 
November 22, 2017. 

Permanent reallocation requests for the 2017/2018 season for all species must 
be submitted to GMU prior to 16:00 February 2, 2018.  

Temporary reallocation requests for the 2017/2018 season for all species must 
be submitted to GMU prior to 16:00 February 20, 2018.
