FN1373-Licensing Information: 2021 Commercial Transporting Licence Issuance
2021 Transporting (D) Licence issuance is now available through the National Online Licensing System (NOLS) at https://fishing-peche.dfo-mpo.gc.ca The application form for a Transporting Licence, along with other Commercial Licences, can be found online at http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/licence-permis/licence-commercial-eng.html After completing the application form, vessel owners may submit it by creating a Request in the National Online Licensing System (NOLS). Please note that all applications for a Transporting (D) Licence will require an accompanying Letter of Support. More information about these requirements can be found on the Application form. Of primary importance to note is that in order for any vessel to continue to be eligible to obtain a Transport (D) licence, from year to year, the vessel must be actively packing and proof of that activity is evidenced by the Fish Slips wherein the vessel is noted as the packing vessel. Once approved, a notification will be sent via email to advise vessel owners that a new charge has been added to the licence holder's online account. The fee for 2021 Transporting licence issuance will be available to pay at that time. All vessel owners are required to pay their 2021 Transporting Licence fees through the NOLS. Upon the Department receiving the required payment the licence will be issued and notification will be sent via email to advise licence holders that a change has been made to the licence holder's online account. The licence documents, conditions of licence and receipt will be available to be printed at that time. Reminder: To ensure that your transporting activity is being reported correctly by the Buyer and/or Fisher, please make certain that your Vessel Name and VRN are recorded on all fish slips that are associated with your packing activity. Note: Fish slips are required to include the Transporting vessel information as well as the Catcher vessel information. Client support will be available via e-mail (fishing-peche@dfo-mpo.gc.ca) or toll-free telephone (1-877-535-7307). Please visit the Pacific Region Licensing website and subscribe to fishery notices for updates on NOLS and licensing services: http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/licence-permis/index-eng.html
