Fraser River Chum

The Area E gill net fishery openings described in FN1188 will close as scheduled today at 19:00 hours November 6, 2020. No further Area E fisheries in Area 29 are scheduled for the balance of the 2020 season.  

These management actions are being implemented as a result of the projected declining abundance of chum in river and to provide continued priority access to chum for First Nations food, social and ceremonial harvest opportunities.
