Fishery Notice

Area E Temporary Salmon ITQ Reallocation Request, Use of Digital Signature and/or Designation Forms are now available online for the Area E Fraser Chum fishery.

Licence eligibility holders are strongly encouraged to designate a signing authority prior to the start of the fishery. The designation permits allow someone else to authorize a boat day transfer if you are out fishing and are unable to complete the required transfer application.

IMPORTANT: licence holders are required to meet their 2019 conditions of licence prior to hailing into a 2020 fishery or requesting temporary reallocation of quota. If a licence was issued in 2019 and not fished, the licence holder shall ensure that a Nil Report for the season is submitted. In the event that a fishery does not occur, the licence holder is still required to submit a Nil Report. 

The Nil Report form is available from Madeline Wanless at Madeline.Wanless@dfo-mpo.gc.ca or they can be downloaded from the DFO Pacific Region website at https://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/licence-permis/forms/2019/smon-nil-neant-eng.html. 

Completed Nil Reports can be submitted by email to Jason Parsley at cscmu-usccs@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.

Note: Transferring quota from a licence does not constitute fishing; thus, if quota was transferred from a licence, but no fishing occurred under that licence, a Nil Report is required.
