FN0151-SANITARY - Emergency Sanitary Closures for Bivalve Shellfish for Subareas 17-4, 17-6, 17-8, 17-9, 17-13, 17-14, 17-15, 17-16, 18-7, 18-10, 19-7 and 19-8 has been revoked.


Effective February 24, 2020, the harvest prohibition for Emergency Sanitary 
Closures in Subareas 17-4, 17-6, 17-8, 17-9, 17-13, 17-14, 17-15, 17-16, 18-7, 
18-10, 19-7 and 19-8 are now lifted for bivalve shellfish.  The emergency 
sanitary closures in Subareas 17-4, 17-6, 17-8, 17-9, 17-13, 17-14, 17-15, 17-
16, 18-7, 18-10, 19-7 and 19-8 that came into effect on February 1, 2020 due to 
the effects of rainfall in portions of the SE Vancouver Island area, are no 
longer necessary as the areas remained in closed status for a minimum of 21 
days, as per Section 6.2 of the CSSP manual.

Note that this notice does not describe other sanitary closures which may be in 
effect, or Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP, red tide) and other marine
