FN0934-RECREATIONAL - Salmon - Pink - Region 3 - Kamloops Lake and South Thompson River - Non-Retention - Effective September 12, 2017
The current adopted run size of 4.5 million Fraser pinks was reduced to 3.7 million at the Fraser Panel meeting on Friday Sept. 8, 2017. This decrease in run size has eliminated any TAC (Total allowable catch) for directed recreational or commercial pink fisheries. Effective one hour after sunset (20:23 hours) on Tuesday September 12, 2017 until further notice, you may not retain pink salmon in Region 3. This includes Kamloops Lake and the South Thompson River. Variation Order Number 2017-469 and 2017-470 Notes: Single barbless hooks are required when fishing for salmon in non-tidal waters of British Columbia.
