FN0639-SANITARY - Emergency Sanitary Closure in Ucluelet Harbour (Subareas 23-11 and 123-3), has been revoked


Environment Canada has advised that the emergency sanitary closure 23.ee in 
Ucluelet Harbour, enacted on October 31, 2016 as a result of a bypass permit 
that was granted by the Ministry of Environment, and Environment and Climate 
Change Canada, allowing discharge of raw sewage from the outfall of the 
Ucluelet sewage lagoons while lagoon liners were being replaced, is no longer 
necessary. Therefore, emergency closure 23.ee for bivalve shellfish, as 
described below, is now revoked

Emergency Closure Area 23.ee - Mouth of Ucluelet Inlet

The waters of Newcombe Channel, Barkley Sound inside a line drawn from a point 
on land at 48°55.29' north latitude and 125°31.78' west longitude thence 
southeasterly to a point in the water at 48°53.29' north latitude and 125°
31.09' west longitude thence northeasterly to the southernmost tip of Chrow 
Island at 48°54.33' north latitude and 125°28.05' west longitude thence 
northwesterly to a point on land at 48°55.50' north latitude and 125° 28.22' 
west longitude, excluding areas already closed under Annual Sanitary Closure 
23.2. [NAD 83]
