FN0185-Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish in a portion of Deep Bay, Baynes Sound Subarea 14-8 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure # 1400483
Effective March 11, 2015 until further notice: Due to shellfish product on BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 1400483 exceeding the bacteriological standard for E.coli in raw shellfish, the Pacific Interdepartmental Shellfish Committee has agreed that a closure is warranted. Harvest of bivalve shellfish is now prohibited until further notice from a portion of Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, Subarea 14-8 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure # 1400483 Sanitary Closure Area 14.pp - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 1400483 The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 1400483, Subarea 14-8, Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°27.81' north latitude and 124°44.96' west longitude northeasterly to a point in water at 49°27.77' north latitude and 124°44.88' west longitude, thence southeasterly to a point in water at 49°27.74' north latitude and 124°44.91' west longitude, thence southwesterly to a point in water at 49°27.78' north latitude and 124°44.99' west longitude, thence northwesterly back to the point of commencement.
