Effective November 26, 2012 the harvest prohibition is lifted for bivalve shellfish Pacific Fishery Management Subareas 14-1, 14-7, 17-4, 17-16 and 18-3 that was put into effect on November 6, 2012 due to excessive rainfall that occurred on the East coast of Vancouver Island of BC. The following areas are now in open status: Pacific Fishery Management Subareas 14-1, 14-7, 17-4, 17-16 and 18-3. Note that this notice does not describe other sanitary closures which may be in effect, or Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP, red tide) and other marine biotoxin closures.
