Opening 00:01 hours November 10, 2012 in the following Geoduck Management Areas (GMAs). An asterisk indicates a change in area description. SUMMARY: *24B03, Millar Channel, 24-6 portion only Variation Order No. 2012-446 Fishery Continues: *24A04, Epper/Dunlap, 24-6 portion only 24B01a, Bartlett Island 24B02b, Calmus Pass Variation Order No. 2012-440 See also Fishery Notice No. FN1052 Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Update, as recommended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and issued by DFO. Details: GMA 24B03, Millar Channel: Portions of Subarea 24-4 (not open) and Portion of 24-6: - bounded on the north by a line from Clifford Point to an unnamed point on Flores Island at 49 degrees 17.622 north latitude, 126 degrees 03.521 minutes west longitude; and - bounded on the south by a straight line from a prominent point to the south of Chetarpe I.R. at 49 degrees 14.7 minutes north latitude, 126 degrees 09 minutes west longitude bearing 302 degrees true in a northwest direction to a prominent point of land located 0.7 nautical miles southwest of Yates Point on Flores Island. NOTES: North Coast and East Coast Vancouver Island areas are identified on separate Fishery Notices. See the 2012 Geoduck and Horse Clam Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP) for a more detailed description of the Fishing Protocol. The On-Grounds Monitor and/or Archipelago Marine Research will direct the fleet through geoduck beds and GMAs.
