Manila/Littleneck clams: Savary Island

Open 02:00 hours September 11, 2012 until 15:00 hours September 11, 2012, by 
hand picking for 1 tide in a portion of Subarea 15-2, described as the 
intertidal foreshore of Savary Island only. 

All clams to be landed at Lund. 
	
Variation Order # 2012-351.
Area C Proper remains closed.

Fishers are advised to ensure they have buyers for their product prior to 
participating in this opening. 
 
All eligible fishers must have their 2012 license and meet the conditions of 
that license. (i.e. wear a high visibility vest with license number marked on 
it and the sacks of clams must be immediately tagged with the license number as 
soon as clams are placed in it). 

Fishers should consult the 2010/2012 intertidal clam management plan for 
detailed descriptions of closed areas for this fishery, information on the 
license limitation program and contact numbers for further information.

All openings are subject to short notice closure due to PSP contamination.  
Fishers should consult the local DFO office to confirm openings and 
descriptions of contaminated areas.
