Validated landings of 1,010 tons reported for the 2012 Big Bay Roe Herring 
gillnet fishery. Dive survey to commence March 30th. This will be the last Area 
3/4 update for the 2012 season.

Weather hampering testing but hope to obtain sample later this afternoon. If 
the sample is acceptable to industry the fishery will open. Mature fish mixing 
with immature fish so roe percentage has fallen. 7,000 ton school on west side 
of Gurd Island has not moved. No spawns observed to date.
