HAIDA GWAII Next update Thursday March 29th. PRINCE RUPERT Area 3 and 4 Charter vessel Nita Maria last day of assessment is March 28th. Spawn flight occurred at 10:00 hours March 28th. A continuous spawn observed from Bath Pt in Stumaun Bay southward to Hook Pt in Cunningham Pass. Spawn observed throughout Pearl Harbour and continues: along the shores of Flat Top, Mist, Burnt Cliff, South and Haycock islands, from Bellitti Pt to Shattock Pt, throughout Big Bay, southward along the shore from Simpson Pt to Ryan Pt. An estimated total of 37.8km of spawn observed. Gillnet 1,000 ton quota was achieved and fishery was closed at 11:00 hours on March 27th, 2012. Area 5 - Kitkatla Charter vessel "Snow Drift" began assessments on March 12th.
