HAIDA GWAII Next update Tuesday March 27th. PRINCE RUPERT Areas 3 and 4 Spawn flight occurred at 10:00am March 26. Spawn observed in Stumaun Bay and the north end of Cunningham Pass outside Port Simpson. Small school of fish holding at SE corner of Pearl Harbour. Spawn observed from Belletti Pt along the shore south to Shattock Pt. Large schools of fish holding along the southern shore N of West Base Pt and around Curlew Rk. Spawn observed around Curlew Rk, along the southern shore of Big Bay from Simpson Pt to Reeks Pt. Spawn observed from Trenham Pt extending southward to the small bay north of Swamp Is. Large schools of fish observed holding tight to the beach west of Swamp Is. As of the morning of March 26, a total estimated landed catch of 570 tons. On-ground updates will occur at 9:10 and 17:10 daily. Area 5 - Kitkatla Charter vessel "Snow Drift" began assessments on March 12th.
