FN1032-Communal Sale Fishery - Five Nations Integrated Hook and Line Fishery - Change in Species Authorized for Sale on Halibut and Lingcod Directed Trips.
The Ahousaht, Ehattesaht, Hesquiaht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht and Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations (Five Nations) Communal Sale Fishery by hook and line continues until further notice within the Five Nations Expanded Fishing Area except for Rockfish Conservation areas with the following changes effective October 3, 2024 at 00:01 hours: - Incidental bycatch of Sablefish on Halibut and Lingcod directed trips may be retained for sale (please refer to FN 0741 for further information on this fishery). - For the 2024 season, the Total Allowable Catch of Sablefish is 4,470 lbs. All harvesters must file a Start Fishing Report (hail out into the fishery) indicating a groundfish directed trip prior to each trip by calling or texting 250-266-0418 or completing the report online at http://taaq.ca.
