Fishery Notice

Effective one hour before sunrise on August 27, 2022, until one hour after sunset on September 15, 2022, you may retain two (2) Sockeye salmon per day in that portion of the Fraser River from the confluence with the Seton River downstream to the fishing boundary signs located on both sides of the river approximately 4 km downstream of the town of Lillooet.

Fishing is permitted during daylight hours only. Day light hours only refers to (One hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset). Reference to sunrise and sunset means the times for those events as calculated by the National Research Council of Canada and published daily at https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-28_metric_e.html.

You may not fish for or retain Chinook or Coho salmon.

Notes:

The aggregate daily limit for all species of Pacific Salmon (other than kokanee) from tidal and non-tidal waters combined is four (4). Individual species limits also apply.

Single barbless hooks are required when fishing for salmon in non-tidal waters of British Columbia.

If you're going fishing for salmon in non-tidal (fresh) waters, you need a Non-Tidal Angling Licence, issued by the Province of British Columbia. Visit the provincial website to buy your licence. Licences are available to B.C. residents and non-residents. Fees may vary and are listed online.
