FN0989-Emergency Closures in effect on East and West coast Vancouver Island, Bivalve Shellfish Closure 14, 17, 23 and 25 are now revoked.
The Emergency bivalve shellfish closures that were put in place on October 15, 2012 in Areas 14, 17, 23 and 25 due to excessive rainfall are now revoked except: The Baynes Sound Conditional Management area closures 14.22, B and C remain in effect pending sampling results. All sanitary closures in place prior to the emergency closures of October 15, 2012 remain in place. Detailed bivalve shellfish closure information and maps are available at our website: http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/psp and at local DFO offices.
