For the most recent information on the location of sanitary closures, marine biotoxin closures and maps please refer to the shellfish contamination page website: http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/psp and at local DFO offices. Fishing is prohibited on all beaches that are identified as sanitary contamination closures unless harvest has been permitted under a separate licence issued under the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations. Harvesters are reminded that it is a condition of licence for harvest logbooks and Fish Slips to be completed. Licenced commercial Pacific Oyster Harvesters may sell their oysters only to duly licenced fish buyers or processing plants that hold a valid registration or certification by CFIA.
