Fishery Notice

2016 Crab (R) and Communal Commercial Crab (FR) licence issuance is available 
via the National Online Licensing System (NOLS) at https://fishing-peche.dfo-
mpo.gc.ca.

All Commercial Crab by Trap licence eligibility holders are required to pay 
their 2016 Crab licence fees through the NOLS by December 31, 2016 or the 
licence eligibility will cease.

Communal Commercial Crab by Trap licence eligibility holders are reminded that 
they must designate a eligible vessel. Please note that the action of 
submitting payment is required to request licence issuance. This action 
replaces the previous requirement to submit an application.  For best service, 
please ensure that you do not pay (and request issuance) unless you are ready 
to designate a vessel and vice versa.

Once the payment has been received through the NOLS, your transaction request 
will be processed.  When the transaction has been completed, the licence and 
payment receipt will be available to print by logging into the NOLS.  

Please ensure that you have obtained clearance for your 2015 logbooks: you may 
contact the Shellfish Data Unit at 250-756-7306 or 250-756-7022.

When the vessel is engaged in commercial fishing, the crab licence and 
conditions of licence must be on board the vessel and must be produced on 
demand.  

REMINDER:  You will need your User ID and Password to access your NOLS account.
