Opening 00:01 hours October 13, 2015 in the following Quota Management Areas. The north coast fishery is also open in the following Quota Management Areas: 6H* Douglas Channel Variation Order No. 2015-501 6I* Gribbell Island Variation Order No. 2015-488 DETAILS 5C GRENVILLE CHANNEL: a) Subarea 5-1. b) That portion of subarea 5-23 excluding that portion of Kumealon Inlet East of a line across the mouth of the inlet; that portion of Baker Inlet East of a line across the mouth of the inlet, that portion of Kxngeal Inlet East of a line across the mouth of the inlet; that portion of Klewnuggit Inlet East of a line across the mouth of the inlet. c) That portion of subarea 5-24 excluding that portion of Lowe Inlet East of a line across the mouth of the inlet. That portion of subarea 6-28 excluding the vicinity of Hartley Bay, Promise Island and Coghlin Anchorage, inside the 20 fathom depth contour running from Halsey Point at the entrance to Hartley Bay, around Cape Farewell on Promise Island, then to Sainty Point on the mainland coast as shown on Charts No. 3711 and 3742 published by the Canadian Hydrographic Service. 6G KITIMAT ARM * Subarea 6-1 excluding: a) Giltoyees and Miskatla Inlets: North of a line from Point Ashton [53° 46.245'N/128° 56.920'W] west to a point at 53° 46.092'N and 128° 58.589'W. b) Sue and Loretta Channels: Easterly of the Subarea boundary between Maitland Island [53° 41.197'N/129° 04.789'W and Hawkesbury Island [53° 40.494'N/129° 04.797'W] and westerly of a line that begins at 53° 41.205'N/129° 04.898'W (Kersey Point) then to 53° 45.620'N/128° 50.849'W (Walbran Point) then following the easterly shoreline of Loretta Island to 53° 43.341'N/128° 49.939'W then to 53° 42.645'N/128° 50.071'W (Gaudin Point). c) The head of Kitimat Arm: North of a line running from a point at 53° 57.767'N and 128° 42.212'W to a point at 53° 56.967'N and 128° 39.741'W. Notes: 1. Due to the many changes to the commercial fishery over the last few years, harvesters are advised to maintain good contact with the fishery manager, the service provider or the On-Grounds Co-ordinators to avoid fishing in a closed area. All closures are described in Appendix 1 of the Sea Cucumber Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP). Please contact Pauline Ridings for a copy of the IFMP. 2. This fishery is managed on an individual quota of 16,000 lb/licence with dockside validation. Fishers must hail in to D&D Pacific Fisheries Ltd (1-800- 775-5505) 24 hrs prior to fishing and within 24 hrs of terminating fishing in an area. All landings must be validated. 3. D&D Pacific Fisheries and/or the on-grounds co-ordinators will direct the North and Central Coast fleets. The North and Central Coast landing ports are Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Klemtu, Bella Bella, Port Hardy, Moresby Camp and Queen Charlotte City.
