FN0698-RECREATIONAL - Salmon - Region 1 - Pink Salmon - Campbell and Quinsam Rivers - Opening - July 26, 2014
Due to the early and large return of pink salmon to the Quinsam and Campbell River systems to date, the daily limit for pink salmon will be 4 per day from 00:01 hours July 26, 2014 to 23:59 hours September 15, 2014 in the following portions of the Quinsam and Campbell Rivers: A) In the Campbell River downstream of the John Hart Dam Power Station; B) In the Quinsam River; except that portion of river from the signs at the power line crossing (about 25 meters above Quinsam Hatchery weir) to boundary signs about 300 meters below the fish hatchery weir which is closed all year. VO# 2014-336 Please note: a)In the Campbell River from August 1 to October 31, 2014 there is no fishing from the boundary sign at the end of Maple Street downstream to the boundary sign at the cement block. b)Fly fishing only from the John Hart Dam Power Station to the power line crossing approximately 200 meters upstream of the Quinsam River confluence. c) Please refer to the 2013-15 BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for further fishing restrictions in this area.
